Upon arrival in Shanghai, the tour guide will await your arrival at the airport, after which you will check into the hotel and rest.

If time permits, free activities are recommended: visiting The Bund and Nanjing Road Walkway.

The Bund: Located along the Huangpu River in Huangpu District, Shanghai (also known as Waitan), this area was designated as a British concession since 1844 and the starting point of the old Shanghai concession area and the entire modern urban development of Shanghai. The Bund stretches 1.5 kilometers, starting from Yan'an East Road in the south and ending at Waibaidu Bridge on the Suzhou Creek in the north. It faces the Huangpu River to the east and is bordered by the concentrated areas of financial and foreign trade institutions from the old Shanghai era to the west.

Nanjing Road Walkway: Situated in Huangpu District, Shanghai, it serves as a microcosm of Shanghai's century-old commercial history and a convergence point of modern urban vitality and sustainable innovation.

Itinerary: Yu Garden - City God Temple - Jade Buddha Temple - Shanghai Silk Museum - Night Cruise on Huangpu River

After hotel breakfast, visit Shanghai Yu Garden. Its landscape design features deliberate asymmetry centered around a pond, surrounded by halls, pavilions, and towers, embodying classical Jiangnan Han-style garden aesthetics. Proceed to City God Temple, characterized by vermilion and dark-green hues while retaining its Ming Dynasty layout. As a key Taoist Zhengyi sect temple, it forms Shanghai’s "Old Town" cultural core alongside Yu Garden. Post-lunch, explore Jade Buddha Temple and China Silk Museum. Optional evening activity: Huangpu River cruise.

Shanghai Yu Garden

Located northeast of Shanghai’s Yuyuan tourism district and adjacent to City God Temple, this renowned Jiangnan classical garden is a celebrated cultural landmark. It preserves numerous ancient structures and artifacts, each bearing unique historical narratives. Provides vital material for studying Ming Dynasty carving artistry.

City God Temple

Built during Yongle era (Ming Dynasty) and opened in 1995. Complex faces south along a central axis: main gate, opera tower, grand hall, living quarters, and side corridors (total area: 3,000㎡). Neighboring Yuyuan commercial area features nationally famous snacks like Nanxiang steamed buns and pear syrup candy.

Jade Buddha Temple

An oasis in downtown Shanghai. Founded in 1882 (Qing Dynasty), it ranks among Shanghai’s top temples with Longhua and Jing’an Temples. Current structure comprises:

Front Courtyard: Original temple site with Song-style palatial architecture

Back Courtyard: Multi-functional Juequn Building
The Cultural Relics Room houses precious artifacts from Northern Wei to Qing dynasties. Most famous are two jade Buddhas brought from Myanmar by monk Huigen:

Treasure of the Temple: 1.92m-tall seated Sakyamuni statue (Jade Buddha Tower), adorned with gold leaf and gems.

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Shanghai Museum, which houses over 120,000 exquisite collections showcasing historical relics from various dynasties. It is particularly renowned for ancient bronze wares, ceramic works, calligraphy, and paintings. National treasure-level collections include the Western Zhou Dynasty Dake Ding Cauldron, the Spring and Autumn Period Zhongjiang Pan Plate, the Tang Dynasty painting High-Spirited Recluse, and Wang Xianzhi's Dayaowan Tie calligraphy scroll from the Eastern Jin Dynasty. French Concession

Located on Jianguo Middle Road, this historical site was completed in 1915. It is an East Indian veranda-style building and a protected cultural relic.

XinTianDi

Transformed from old Shanghai Shikumen alleys, XinTianDi has become a must-visit for both domestic and international tourists, as well as a trendy spot for local young people. At night, you can hop between bars to experience Shanghai's nightlife.

The Oriental Pearl Tower

Standing in Lujiazui, Pudong, opposite the Bund, this 468-meter-high landmark consists of 11 spheres of varying sizes connected in a chain. Ascend the three main spheres to enjoy panoramic city views from different heights—especially the 259-meter-high transparent observation deck, where you can "walk in the air" to take in Shanghai's skyline.

Itinerary:

After breakfast, depart for Zhouzhuang and start the Zhouzhuang Water Town tour in the afternoon. Recorded in history in 1086, is located between Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Known as the "Land of Water", it is surrounded by water on all sides, and boats are necessary for transportation. The whole town forms streets along the river, with bridges connecting the streets, presenting a typical Jiangnan scene of small bridges, flowing water and dwellings.

Humble Administrator’s Garden

As one of Suzhou’s most renowned gardens, it centers around water, with well-arranged rockeries and exquisite courtyard buildings lingering around, where flowers and trees thrive. This model of Jiangnan gardens, together with the Summer Palace in Beijing, Chengde Mountain Resort, and Suzhou’s Lingering Garden, is known as the "Four Great Gardens of China" and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage. The entire garden is ingeniously designed, embodying the charm of Jiangnan water towns everywhere. The winding paths, from layers of porches and hollow-patterned stone walls to each pavilion and window, are all unique, perfectly matched with trees and flowers to form picturesque scenes.

Suzhou Museum

Founded on January 1, 1960, the museum is located in the Loyalty Palace of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom, covering an area of about 10,700 square meters. It is a local comprehensive museum for collecting, displaying, researching, and spreading Suzhou’s history, culture, and art, as well as one of the first national first-class museums. On October 6, 2006, the main building of Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei was completed and officially opened to the public. Combining traditional Suzhou architectural styles, the museum is placed among courtyards, making the buildings harmonize with their surrounding environment.

In the afternoon, visit the Pingjiang Road Historic Block, located south of the Humble Administrator’s Garden. With a history of more than 2,500 years, it is a well-preserved ancient block.

Shantang Street

Here, shops are dense, gathering various handicraft stores and snack shops. Main attractions include Yuhan Hall, Antai Fire Brigade, Tonggui Bridge, Suzhou Chamber of Commerce Museum, and the ancient opera stage, making it the most commercial and tourist-populated section of the street.

Boat Tour on West Lake

With numerous attractions along its shores, taking a boat tour is one of the classic ways to appreciate the beauty of West Lake.

Lingyin Temple

Also known as "Yunlin Temple", it is located at the foot of Lingyin Mountain west of West Lake. The temple boasts a serene environment and is Hangzhou's earliest renowned monastery, preserving numerous exquisite cultural relics from various dynasties. It is where Jigong (the Mad Monk) became a monk. After 1,700 years of history, Lingyin Temple has become a treasure trove of history and culture:

The plaque "Yunlin Chan Temple" hanging in the Heavenly Kings Hall was inscribed by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty.

The stone pagodas in front of the Mahavira Hall and the stone scripture pillars in front of the Heavenly Kings Hall are all relics from the Wuyue State period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms.

Longjing Village

Situated southwest of the West Lake Scenic Area, surrounded by mountains, it is world-famous for producing top-grade West Lake Longjing tea and is known as the "First Village of the Tea Township".

Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies
Located in the southwest corner of the West Lake Scenic Area, this scenic spot is renowned for its natural landscapes and hiking experiences. It attracts numerous visitors with its winding streams and peaceful environment, serving as an ideal place to feel the charm of nature. Named after the convergence of nine creeks, the eighteen winding gullies along the way offer visitors rich visual enjoyment.

Special Arrangements: Impression West Lake

As one of the "Impression Series" created by renowned directors Zhang Yimou, Wang Chaoge, and Fan Yue, the theater is located between Yuehu Lake, Quyuan Fenghe (Lotus in the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard), and Su Causeway in the northwestern area of West Lake. Using the lake as the stage, it employs high-tech sound and light technology to render scenes, with numerous actors performing plots to reproduce the beauty of Jiangnan and folk legends.

Hangzhou — Huangshan

Itinerary: Hangzhou (High-speed Rail) - Huangshan

After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to the high-speed rail station and take a high-speed rail to Huangshan. Upon arrival, the tour guide will meet you at the station and visit Huangshan Scenic Area, located in Tangkou Town, Huangshan District, Huangshan City. Since ancient times, Huangshan has been one of China's top mountains, with the "Four Wonders" — odd-shaped pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, and hot springs. In addition, rime ice, snow scenes, and sunrises are also landscapes that visitors will not miss.

Special Arrangement: Watching Huangshan Sunset

As the sun sinks, golden rays pierce clouds to gild mountain contours with flowing rims. The churning sea of clouds ignites like flames while peaks transform into silhouettes dancing with twilight hues. Final beams penetrate Flying Rock’s crevices, dyeing the sky in orange-red and indigo silk—nature’s grand finale.

Day 9

Huangshan — Shanghai

Itinerary: Bright Summit (Huangshan Sunrise) - Hongcun - Moon Pond - South Lake Painting Bridge - Chengzhi Hall - Tunxi Old Street

Early Morning Special Arrangement: Head to Bright Summit to watch the Huangshan sunrise. 

Then returni to the hotel for breakfast, visit Hongcun Scenic Area, a representative of Huizhou ancient villages known as the "Village in Chinese Painting". The highlights of Hongcun are:

1.Water scenery created by the water conservancy system, with South Lake and Moon Pond as the essence;

2.Huizhou-style carvings (brick, stone, and wood carvings) on buildings, as delicate as paper-cutting, integrating cultural landscapes with natural scenery perfectly.

Founded during the Shaoxing period of the Southern Song Dynasty, Hongcun gradually developed into a magical "ox-shaped village" starting from the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty.

Ox stomach Pond

The entire Hongcun is shaped like an ox, the Pond serving as the "ox's stomach" at the village's center. Dug during the Ming Yongle period, the pond reflects the white walls, black tiles, and horse-head walls of surrounding Huizhou-style ancient buildings, ideal for photographing. At night, when the ancient buildings are lit up, the lamp shadows and moonlight ripple in the water, creating a beautiful scene.

Chengzhi Hall

Built around 1855, this residence of Wang Dinggui, a salt merchant in the late Qing Dynasty, is a wooden-structure building adorned with splendid brick, stone, and wood carvings. The hall features 136 wooden pillars, nine courtyards, seven floors, 60 rooms, and 60 doors. Its wood carvings, with complex layers and numerous figures each showing distinct expressions, hold high artistic value, earning it the reputation of the "Folk Forbidden City".

Stroll through Tunxi Old Street

Located in the central area of Tunxi District, Huangshan City, this famous snack and commercial street sells mostly Huizhou specialties. Developed from a dock at the confluence of three rivers in ancient times, it thrived during the Ming and Qing dynasties and still retains its historical prosperity today. Visiting during the day, you can admire exquisite brick, wood, and stone carvings on Huizhou-style buildings and explore attractions like Tunxi Museum and Wancui Garden.

Afterwards, take a car to the high-speed rail station and return to Shanghai by high-speed rail.

2.Our company reserves the right to modify the itinerary and add additional charges due to factors such as airlines, visa issues, government regulations, weather conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances.

3.The flight numbers and times listed in the itinerary are for reference only and may be reasonably adjusted according to actual conditions. 

Travel Instructions

① All participants in the tour group must assemble and depart on time. Please arrive at the pick-up location 15 minutes in advance. Our company's tour bus will not wait for latecomers. If you fail to join the group at the agreed time and location, or are unable to catch up en route, it will be considered as an automatic waiver of the trip, and no refunds will be given.

② The pick-up and drop-off times indicated in the tour notification are estimated. The specific locations for boarding and alighting will be confirmed by our company. (In case of traffic conditions or other special circumstances that prevent our bus from arriving at the pick-up location on time or if there is a temporary change in schedule, our company will notify you promptly. Please wait patiently.)

③ There are three types of buses: large buses, minibuses, and 9-seater vans. Generally, large buses have dedicated luggage compartments for storing baggage, while minibuses and 9-seater vans have relatively smaller spaces for luggage storage. Given the limited space in the bus compartments, we recommend that you travel with as little luggage as possible. Our company will arrange the appropriate vehicle based on the final group size to ensure that each person has a seat.

④ To avoid excessive congestion at tourist attractions, in most cities, the parking spots for tour buses are located farther away from the attractions. Drivers are not allowed to park indiscriminately, as violations will result in hefty fines. Therefore, the boarding and alighting locations may be a certain distance from the attractions. We ask for the understanding of all group members.

Safety Tips for Traveling by Tour Bus:

① Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bus.

② Do not carry any prohibited items.

③ Do not tamper with any objects on the bus to avoid unnecessary damage.

④ During temporary stops, please follow the arrangements of the tour guide and do not wander off.

⑤ When getting off the bus for sightseeing, dining, or shopping, please make sure to close the bus windows and take your valuables with you. The travel agency will not be responsible for any loss or theft.

⑥ Given the long travel time and heavy load on the vehicle, if the bus breaks down and affects the itinerary, the travel agency will take prompt remedial measures. Please cooperate fully.

Cancellation and Amendment Policy

Cancellation Terms:

(1) If canceled more than 60 days before departure (including the 60th day), a full refund will be given.

(2) If canceled between 30 to 59 days before departure (including the 30th day), a 10% service charge will be deducted.

(3) If canceled between 18 to 29 days before departure (including the 18th day), 50% of the total amount due on the booking will be charged.

(4) If canceled within 17 days before departure (including the 17th day), all vehicle and hotel reservations have been fully confirmed, and no refund will be given. However, a friend may be substituted to join the tour.

Notes:

(1) The cancellation policy does not apply to packages that include flights and cruises (subject to the policies of the airlines and cruise companies).

(2) If a participant fails to join the tour on the departure date, it will be considered as an automatic waiver, and no refund will be given.

(3) Any additional hotel bookings or services will be subject to the hotel's refund policy.

(4) If your company or the participant withdraws from the tour or fails to join any part of the itinerary due to personal reasons (such as lack of travel documents, visa issues, tardiness, illness, accidents, etc.), no refund will be given, and no alternative compensation will be provided.

Force Majeure Situations:

In the event that travel is disrupted due to weather, war, strikes, or other force majeure factors, our company will prioritize the safety of the guests' person and property. We reserve the right to cancel or adjust part or all of the itinerary. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect losses arising from force majeure, and no refunds will be given for the tour fees already paid.

Additional Payment Information:

(1) If there is a policy change by the airline that affects the ticket price, the difference must be paid according to the regulations. If the ticket is a group fare, it cannot be changed, transferred, or refunded.

(2) If there is a policy change in the destination country that affects the costs of items not included in the itinerary or other related expenses, the difference must be paid according to the regulations.
