Today you will go to the airport to check in for your flight to Chennai, India. Due to the time difference, it is recommended to confirm the local time and depart 1 day in advance, the exact time is subject to the arrival time, please choose an early flight to arrive. You will be spending the night on the plane, which may be cold, so it is recommended that you bring warm clothing. We wish you a good night's rest.
Today you will arrive in Chennai, the fourth largest city in India and one of the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the world, situated on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. On arrival, you will be met by a local India guide and transferred to your hotel for rest.
After breakfast visit Kapaleeswarar Temple, the largest Hindu temple in Chennai, very much a traditional Hindu temple, the unique statues on the temple are brightly colored, natural and vivid in their appearance, both in number and sophistication. The Chennai Government Museum is a repository of ancient historical treasures and houses some of the most valuable artifacts of the ancient Dravidians.
After lunch, visit George Town, the old town of Chennai, built during the British colonial period and named after the visit of King George V, the whole area is full of European style, Fort St. George, a fort built by the East India Company to protect the merchant houses and trade, also contains the oldest Anglican Church in India, the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with a large number of rare items on display, Marina Beach, a 5 kilometer stretch of golden sand and sparkling blue sea that winds its way up to the Cathedral of Santo Domingo.
In the evening, watch the traditional Tamil dance: the Brahmaputra.
After breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram, home to a cluster of 126 ancient Hindu temples, one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism, a former Jain and Buddhist holy city, and the capital of the Pallava dynasty of ancient India from the 4th to 9th centuries AD. It was the capital of the Pallava dynasty from the 4th to the 9th century AD. Venerable Xuanzang also studied Buddhism here.
Upon arrival, you can experience an Indian sari and wear a beautiful sari to the site for a photo shoot.
Visit the Kailasanathar Temple, which guards the facade of seven temples made up of 58 intricately carved small shrines, with Nandi, the sacred bull mount of Lord Shiva, and the lion stone pillars being a must-see highlight. Then visit the Ekambareswarar temple, which originally meant 'God of the Mango Tree'.
Afterwards we drive to Mahabalipuram.
After breakfast, visit the group of monuments at Mahabalipuram, one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism, famous for its World Heritage Coastal Monuments.
The 7th century Arjuna's Penance, a large relief sculpture, tells the legend of the Ganges River falling from heaven to earth, also known as the "Descent of the Ganges". The adjacent Kurotsuchi Grotto features exquisite stone carvings depicting the legend of Kurotsuchi's protection of a cowherd and his playfulness with a cowherd girl. Shore Temple, the earliest stone temple in South India, was built at the end of the 7th century as a pair of South Indian pyramids by the sea, protected by windbreaks. The Temple of the Five Chariots, built in the mid-7th century, was built on a rectangular temple tower with a huge boulder carved from the roof of a chariot.
Then drive to Pondicherry, which was under the rule of the Vines and the French for 300 years. During the 281 years of French rule, French architect Roger designed the city in a 100% European style until the mid-20th century when it was returned to the Indian government and became known as "Little France". Most of the residents are descendants of British and French colonists.
After breakfast, visit Auroville, the City of Dawn, an experimental international city that welcomes people from all over the world, regardless of nationality, gender, race, etc., in the hope of creating a home of coexistence and co-prosperity, without barriers, politics, religion or currency! The huge golden sphere of the Temple of the Mother, which took 37 years to build, is located in the center of the City of Dawn.
Then drive to Chidambaram and visit the Nataraja Temple, an extremely rare example of a temple dedicated to both Shiva and Vishnu, with "Nataraja" referring to Shiva's "cosmic dance" to reveal the state of "emptiness". The temple is lavishly decorated with a magnificent tower gate with exquisite carvings.
Then drive to Thanjavur, known as the "City of Religious Art", where the art comes from the Jura Dynasty, which had its capital here between the 9th and 12th centuries. The power of the state led to the flourishing of art in the capital city of Thanjavur, which is still a city of colorful and beautifully carved art.
Visit the 11th-century Brihadishwara Temple, also known as the "Great Temple," dedicated to Shiva and the tallest surviving temple in India at 216 meters! Must-sees include the 80-ton temple roof carved from a single monolith, Nandi the Bull, India's largest Shiva mount, and the 250 lingams (male phalluses) around the park. The Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, built in the Dravidian style with seven walls and 21 gates, the largest of which is 72 meters high at the southern entrance, was completed in 1987 with the help of the United Nations. The pagoda gate of the Hindu temple is a distinctive cultural symbol that represents the character of South India.
Visit the famous Thanjavur paintings, dating back to around 1600 A.D. They are characterized by rich and vibrant colors, simple and symbolic compositions, delicate plasterwork covered with brilliant gold leaf and inlaid with beads and broken glass or precious and semi-precious stones. Most of the paintings are essentially symbols of faith, depicting Hindu gods, goddesses and saints.
Today you can safely experience the Indian national way of traveling with your guide: Tuk-Tuk (2 persons per Tuk-Tuk).
Later drive to Madurai, the second largest city in Tamil Nadu and one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism.
Madurai, a Hindu holy city known for its magnificent temple architecture, exquisite carvings and nicknamed the "Athens of the East", is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu and one of the seven holy cities of Hinduism. After breakfast, visit the Meenakshi Amman Temple, built in the 7th century and dedicated to Goddess Shiva, the wife of Lord Shiva. The temple's four tall, colorful gopuram gates are very ornate and have a stunning collection of 3,300 Hindu gods and goddesses carved on them. Almost all of the 12 temples have 50-meter high gates decorated with colorful statues of Hindu mythological figures, with the eastern gate being the oldest.
The Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace, built in 1636 by Italian architects, is a blend of local and Islamic influences in both Dravidian and European architectural styles. The central courtyard is surrounded by more than 10 meters of columns, and the ornate carvings on the capitals and domes are breathtaking!
fterwards, travel to the riverine state of Kalala, an almost evergreen and culturally rich state known as India's cultural mecca and an important agricultural state in India.
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Tea Museum. The Munnar tea plantation was once a favourite summer resort of the British aristocracy. Nestled in the Kerala hills at an altitude of 5,200 feet above sea level, the tea plantations are filled with forests, grasslands, orchards and tea gardens. There are also several wildlife sanctuaries nearby. The beauty of nature is appealing, but the pure, unpolluted nature of the people is even more so.
Afternoon transfer to Alleppey.
After breakfast, drive to Alleppey. India accounts for 2 of the 50 must-see places in life according to National Geographic of the United States, one of which is the Aleppey Coconut Grove Water Lane in Kerala. It is a city and port in the southern state of Kerala, India, between Lake Wenbanad and the Arabian Sea, with a dense network of waterways, known as the 'Venice of India'. There is none of the hustle and bustle of city life, none of prosperity of the city, what you feel here is a leisurely life.
In the afternoon, drive to Kochi and in the evening watch Kathakali, the traditional art of Kalala, the only classical Indian dance still sung in Sanskrit, whose themes usually depict the triumph of gods or heroes over evil.
The name "Kochi" is derived from the Malayalam word for a small lake known as the "Queen of the Arabian Sea".
Visit the Modanjeri Palace (also known as the Dutch Palace) in Cochin, built by the Portuguese in 1555. Visit the Kochi Jewish Quarter, where many Jews arrived in Cochin, India after the destruction of the Second Temple of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. It was once an important port on the famous Spice Route by sea, and at that time it was also known as the "Jerusalem" of India. In addition to European colonial architecture, there is a spice bazaar, a traditional synagogue and the only remaining Jewish community. Chinese Fishing Nets, a traditional Chinese fishing net found in distant India, are said to have been brought by merchants from Kublai's court, and it takes at least four adult males to set up one. Local fishermen make a living from these nets, and the view of the nets against the setting sun has become one of Kochi's most famous publicity photos.
In the afternoon, you will fly to Mumbai, the capital of the Indian state of Maharashtra, India's largest city and the country's largest seaport.
After breakfast, fly to Aurangabad, an ancient city dating back to the 17th century. Upon arrival, drive to visit the Ellora Caves, a series of three dozen or fourteen caves carved into the cliffs of Aurangabad, containing three different styles of caves: Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain, which also represent the inclusive social conditions of the time.
The Daulatabad Fort, which means "City of Prosperity", is a 200-meter-high conical German and nickel-hydride fort designed with unique military engineering to make it exceptionally strong. The only way to enter the fortress is through a narrow bridge that can accommodate up to two people at a time. There is only one entrance to the fortress and no parallel gates.
After breakfast, drive to the Ajanta Caves, known as the Dunhuang of India and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with 30 Buddhist cave sites dating from the 2nd century BC to about 480 AD. The caves are widely recognized as masterpieces of Buddhist art, and the paintings and stone carvings within are considered some of the finest examples of ancient Indian art, especially the expressive paintings that show emotion through gesture, posture and form.
Fly to Mumbai, India's largest city and seaport and the capital of the state of Maharashtra. On arrival, visit the Gateway Of India Mumbai, the symbol of Mumbai, built in 1911 to commemorate the landing of King George V of the United Kingdom, Gujarati architecture topped by 4 towers, architectural design that blends the characteristics of India and Persian culture.
After lunch, visit the Prince Wales Museum, one of the largest museums in India, designed by British architects in the 16th century Muslim architectural style, with a three-storey domed structure and a body made of basalt as the building material. It is set in a beautiful garden and houses a collection of classical art and carvings from various periods of India. Visit Victorian Gothic and Art Deco Ensembles of Mumbai, the setting for the dance scene in the film Slumdog Millionaire and Mumbai's iconic building. Declared a World Heritage Site, it is the most beautiful railway building in the world and the most beautiful Victorian building in Mumbai. Visit Dhobi Ghat, a 136-year-old giant open-air laundry discovered by Westerners who came to India in search of curiosities. Rows of laundry basins and hardworking laundry workers have become the emblematic scene of 'suffering India'. The sprawling laundry scene contrasts with the city's skyscrapers in the distance, making it a unique sight in Mumbai.
If you have enough time visit Elephant Island in the morning, if not, transfer to the airport and return home.
The Elephanta Caves, named after a stone elephant found by early Portuguese colonists on the island, which is the "treasure of the Island ", and has been used ever since. There are seven caves on the island, and the Elephanta Caves complex is symmetrical along the central axis, imitating the layout of the mandala in Indian religious ceremonies, with a strong religious atmosphere.

We operate various types of vehicles, including buses, mid-sized buses, and 9-seater minibuses. While large buses have luggage racks, mid-sized and minibuses have limited space. We recommend carrying only essential luggage to ensure one seat per person.
