Itinerary: Xiamen-Quanzhou-Kaiyuan Temple-Quanzhou West Street-Xunpu Village-Xiamen

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then take a coach to Quanzhou. Upon arrival, visit the UNESCO World Heritage site - Kaiyuan Temple, explore the "living architectural museum" - Quanzhou West Street, and experience Xunpu Village - a fishing village renowned for its unique folk culture and architectural style.
Quanzhou
Quanzhou is a historically rich city with profound cultural heritage, honored as the "East Asian Culture Capital." As the starting point of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, it has left a remarkable legacy of cultural heritage throughout history.

Kaiyuan Temple
The largest Buddhist temple in Fujian Province and a significant cultural relic along China's southeastern coast. Founded in 686 AD (the second year of the Chuigong era, Tang Dynasty), it boasts over 1,300 years of history and was inscribed as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site in 2021. The temple features grand-scale, meticulously arranged structures including the Heavenly King Hall, Mahavira Hall, Sweet Dew Ordination Altar, and Scripture Repository. Flanking the complex, the Zhenguo Pagoda (East) and Renshou Pagoda (West) stand as China's tallest stone pagodas, showcasing exquisite stone carving artistry.

Quanzhou West Street
Quanzhou's earliest developed street spanning 1.5 kilometers, renowned as a "living architectural museum" for its well-preserved historical buildings. Minnan-style arcade houses, former residences of notable figures, and Republic-era Western-style buildings coexist harmoniously, creating a rich historical ambiance. Simultaneously a culinary paradise, West Street gathers diverse local delicacies – savor authentic Minnan flavors while strolling through this ancient thoroughfare.

Xunpu Village
A fishing village distinguished by unique folk culture and architecture. Its oyster-shell houses (Keke Cuo) – the world's only ancient dwellings constructed from stacked oyster shells – provide natural insulation (warm in winter, cool in summer) and exude a distinct oceanic ambiance. Xunpu women, celebrated as one of Fujian's "Three Great Fishing Women", display iconic cultural identity through their floral hair buns (Zanhua Wei) and traditional attire. The village preserves authentic fishing traditions, offering visitors immersive experiences of coastal life.

Day 3

Xiamen-160km Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster-160km Xiamen

Transport:
Breakfast: At hotel
Lunch: Included
Dinner:Not included
Accommodation: 4-Diamond Hotel in Beijing
Itinerary:

Itinerary: Xiamen-Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster-Xiamen

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then take a coach to Zhangzhou's Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster. Upon arrival, visit the Upper Viewing Platform, “leaning east and tilting west” Buliding, Yuchang Lou (Leaning Tower), and Taxia Village. After the tour, return to Xiamen.

Upper Viewing Platform
As Tianluokeng's "sky parlor", this spot offers the best bird's-eye view of the "Four Dishes and One Soup" tulou cluster – the square Buyun Lou resembles a central soup bowl, while three circular tulous and one oval tulou encircle it like dishes. The terraced tulou structures interplay harmoniously with terraced fields and bamboo forests.

Lower Viewing Platform
Contrasting sharply with the Upper Platform's "God's perspective", here you gaze upward at the majestic tulous. Layered terraced fields elevate the cluster, with blue-gray walls undulating along mountain contours. Eaves tilt gently in mountain breezes above winding streams – a living Minnan landscape painting.

Yuchang Lou
This 700-year-old "Mother of Fujian Tulous" is famed for its 15-degree tilted pillars. Though the firwood columns in its corridors appear precarious, they've withstood earthquakes and storms for centuries. More miraculously than the Leaning Tower of Pisa, its 22 ancient wells still yield sweet water.

Taxia Village
Dubbed the "Hakka Zhouzhuang", this hidden village features a stream bisecting whitewashed tulous and stilt houses connected by ancient bridges. The "Apron Building" at the village end climbs the mountain slope. When evening lights gradually illuminate the valley, it resembles "a galaxy cascading into ravines". (The "Couple Trees" at the village entrance – a symbiotic camphor and maple – serve as the villagers' love totem.)

Gulangyu
This exquisite island covers merely 1.8839 km² yet holds titles like "Garden on the Sea""Island of Music", and "Museum of Global Architecture". Blessed with a year-round spring-like climate, it preserves over 900 historical buildings that collectively form Gulangyu's rich urban heritage landscape.

Shuzhuang Garden
Built in 1913 as the private garden of Taiwanese tycoon Lin Erjia, it was donated to the state by his family in 1956. The garden masterfully blends delicate courtyard artistry with dramatic coastal panoramas.

Gulangyu's Global Architecture Ensemble
Within less than 2 km², the island perfectly preserves a concentration of diverse architectural styles. These multifaceted structures create Gulangyu's unique architectural tapestry, evoking a living hall of architectural artistry.

Booking Guidelines

Special Notes:

1. The sequence of the itinerary, attractions, flights, and accommodation locations may be subject to temporary changes, modifications, or substitutions. The final itinerary will be confirmed by our company before departure.

2. Our company reserves the right to modify the itinerary and add additional charges due to factors such as airlines, visa issues, government regulations, weather conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances.

3.The flight numbers and times listed in the itinerary are for reference only and may be reasonably adjusted according to actual conditions.

Travel Instructions

① All participants in the tour group must assemble and depart on time. Please arrive at the pick-up location 15 minutes in advance. Our company's tour bus will not wait for latecomers. If you fail to join the group at the agreed time and location, or are unable to catch up en route, it will be considered as an automatic waiver of the trip, and no refunds will be given.

② The pick-up and drop-off times indicated in the tour notification are estimated. The specific locations for boarding and alighting will be confirmed by our company. (In case of traffic conditions or other special circumstances that prevent our bus from arriving at the pick-up location on time or if there is a temporary change in schedule, our company will notify you promptly. Please wait patiently.)

③ There are three types of buses: large buses, minibuses, and 9-seater vans. Generally, large buses have dedicated luggage compartments for storing baggage, while minibuses and 9-seater vans have relatively smaller spaces for luggage storage. Given the limited space in the bus compartments, we recommend that you travel with as little luggage as possible. Our company will arrange the appropriate vehicle based on the final group size to ensure that each person has a seat.

④ To avoid excessive congestion at tourist attractions, in most cities, the parking spots for tour buses are located farther away from the attractions. Drivers are not allowed to park indiscriminately, as violations will result in hefty fines. Therefore, the boarding and alighting locations may be a certain distance from the attractions. We ask for the understanding of all group members.

Safety Tips for Traveling by Tour Bus:

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the bus.

② Do not carry any prohibited items.

③ Do not tamper with any objects on the bus to avoid unnecessary damage.

④ During temporary stops, please follow the arrangements of the tour guide and do not wander off.

⑤ When getting off the bus for sightseeing, dining, or shopping, please make sure to close the bus windows and take your valuables with you. The travel agency will not be responsible for any loss or theft.

⑥ Given the long travel time and heavy load on the vehicle, if the bus breaks down and affects the itinerary, the travel agency will take prompt remedial measures. Please cooperate fully.
