In the evening, we will arrange a welcome dinner for you.
After breakfast, take bus to cross the Sêjila Mountain. We will stop at the Sejila Mountain Pass (altitude: 4,720m), hang prayer flags with sincere blessings on the pass, and pray for our families. If the weather is fine, you can catch the first glimpse of the Namcha Barwa Peak. We will travel through the meandering and beautiful valleys. On both sides of the road, there are rugged mountain cliffs and primeval vegetation. Here, there are large stretches of forests that cling to the mountains, snow-capped peaks that never melt all year round. Beneath the glaciers is a vast expanse of forest sea, with wisps of mist rising and swirling, making it seem like a fairyland on earth.
For lunch, we will taste the local specialty in Lulang, Tibetan-style Stone Pot Chicken. The stone pot is made of stone materials rich in special mineral elements from Medog County, and the chicken is free-range native chicken raised by Tibetans on the mountain. The special ingredients and cooking method make the Stone Pot Chicken a nourishing delicacy.
After that, we will continue to move forward along the Parlung Tsangpo River. The former Tongmai Tianxian is now a thing of the past. The natural moat has been transformed into a thoroughfare.
We will arrive at Bomi County, which is known as the "Hometown of Glaciers", and check into a hotel by the Guxiang Lake, facing the glaciers and lakes.
After breakfast, set off from the hotel and head to the Gangyun Spruce Forest for a leisurely hike in the primeval forest, which has been rated as one of "China's Top Ten Beautiful Primeval Forests". The natural reserve in Gang Township, Bomi, features interconnected mountains and waters, with dense ancient trees, which are extremely tall. The complex terrain and landforms, the thick primeval forest that blocks out the sun, the towering ancient trees, and a large number of rare wild animals and plants make it even more mysterious.
Return to the Lulang Grassland, which is known as the "Little Switzerland of Tibet". Gongbula Zan is right above, pure white and sacred. Below the mountain lies a vast expanse of forest sea, with white clouds surrounding it like Hada scarves. The tall cyclobalanopsis glauca pine trees gradually layer up, covering the entire mountain range. Head to Tashi Gang Village, which has snow-capped mountains at its back and is dotted with flocks of cattle and sheep. Here, the traditional semi-farming and semi-pastoral lifestyle has been preserved to this day.
After breakfast, we cross the Sejila Mountain Pass again and arrive at the beautiful Basongcuo Lake, where we can fully enjoy the picturesque lake and mountain scenery. Upon arriving at Bahe Town, visit the Basongcuo Scenic Area. Then take a cruise ship to have a good view of the beautiful lake and mountain scenery. In Tibetan, Basongcuo means "green water". It integrates snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, waterfalls, pastures, cultural relics, historical sites and ancient temples. The scenery is quite different and varies in different seasons. A variety of rare wild plants gather here, making it truly a paradise on earth, which enjoys the reputation of "Little Switzerland".
After that, we follow the G318 Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway, which is known as one of the most beautiful highways in China, and admire the charming scenery of the Niyang River. After coming out of the Milashan Tunnel, we travel along the Lhasa River Valley, and move from Nyingchi, the "Jiangnan in the Snowy Region", to Lhasa, the "City of Sunshine".
After arrival, we check into a hotel in Lhasa and take rest.
In the morning, we will go to the Potala Palace, a magnificent palace-fortress complex that serves as a symbol of Lhasa and even Tibet, a sacred hall in the hearts of countless people. As the palace with the highest altitude in the world, it houses an extremely rich collection of cultural relics and handicrafts, and also preserves precious cultural heritages of the snowy region.
In the afternoon, we will head to the Jokhang Temple, which is regarded as the "heart of faith" of the Tibetans, with a history of 1,300 years. Here enshrines a statue of Sakyamuni at the age of twelve, which was brought from Chang'an (present-day Xi'an) by Princess Wencheng. Countless devout Tibetans travel thousands of miles and perform kowtows all the way to Lhasa just to make a pilgrimage here.
Today, in the morning, we will explore the Zhe Yeba Monastery, a monastery of the Nyingma Sect and one of the four major hermitage sites in Tibet. It was first built in the 7th century AD and has a history of 1,500 years. It is said that this is one of the temples built by Songtsen Gampo for his beloved concubine, Princess Mangsa Tricham. After several expansions later, the Zhe Yeba Monastery was formed, which is tightly embedded in the cracks of the cliff, with the temple established in the caves and the caves integrated with the temple. We will arrange a hiking here.
In the afternoon, special arrangement: Citywalk (Barkhor Street + Norbulingka). You will have an in-depth understanding of Tibet. In fact, Lhasa is actually two cities, and the area around the Jokhang Temple and the Ramoche Temple is the part with unique charm. The first stop is Norbulingka. In Lhasa, people are accustomed to calling the Potala Palace the Winter Palace and Norbulingka the Summer Palace. That is to say, the Potala Palace is the place where the Dalai Lama worked in winter, while Norbulingka is the place where the Dalai Lama worked and spent the summer to cool off. It is similar to the Summer Palace in Beijing and the Chengde Mountain Resort in the Qing Dynasty. We will arrange for a professional guide in the Norbulingka Scenic Area and visit the mural hall which houses the masterpieces of the "top artists" in the Tibetan painting circle from the 18th to the 20th century. Among them, the murals in the Darding Migyur Phodrang can be regarded as the most complete historical murals in Tibet.
The second stop is Barkhor Street. In fact, the origin of the name "Lhasa" starts from this place of Barkhor! Let's follow the explanation and go to the Office of the Qing Government Resident Minister in Tibet to learn about the historical exchanges between the inland areas and the Tibetan region, and visit the first Wealth God Temple in Lhasa. After that, pass by the Bangda Chang Courtyard, listen to the stories of century-old merchants, and encounter the legends of the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
Special Arrangement: In the evening, watch the large-scale epic drama "Princess Wencheng". With the natural landscape of Lhasa as the backdrop, this drama tells the historical story of Princess Wencheng's marriage alliance with Songtsen Gampo. The live-action drama presents a large number of ethnic elements and intangible cultural heritages such as Tibetan opera and Zhuo dance, showcasing the charm of traditional Tibetan culture.
After having breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the long-awaited Namtso Scenic Area. Upon arriving at the entrance of the scenic area, we will take a short break. You can also take photos with the beautiful scenery at the gate. Wearing brightly colored clothes will make you look even more charming in the photos.
Subsequently, we will reach Nagula Pass and arrive at Namtso, the "Heavenly Lake", which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet (with an altitude of 4,770 meters). It covers an area of approximately 1,920 square kilometers. Looking out towards the lakeside, the water and the sky merge into one color, and the clear blue sky and the blue lake blend seamlessly. The islands in Namtso Lake are scattered all over and present a great variety of postures! You can take beautiful photos for keepsakes.
Then, we will leave at an appropriate time and return to Lhasa for check-in.
After having breakfast, we will cross the Gangbala Pass at an altitude of 4,990 meters, and then arrive at the Yamdrok Lake, which enjoys the reputation of the "Holy Lake in the Sky". It is a freshwater lake and one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. If the weather is fine, you can also have a distant view of the Nyainqêntanglha Peak (with an altitude of 7,206 meters). In spring and summer, small flowers bloom all over the lakeside, and cattle and sheep are grazing; in autumn, the grassy beach turns fiery red.
After that, we head to the Karola Glacier, which is one of the three continental glaciers in Tibet. Since the movies "Red River Valley" and "A City of Sadness and Happiness" once shot their outdoor scenes here, the Karola Glacier has gained great popularity. Many travelers will admire the grandeur of the glacier here and marvel at the charm of nature.
Afterwards, we return to the hotel and take a rest.
After breakfast at the hotel, please check out and collect your luggage. A dedicated shuttle will be arranged to transport you to the airport for your flight back to your home.

Regarding Altitude Sickness
The incidence of altitude sickness is related to the speed of ascent, altitude, duration of residence, and physical condition. Generally, people who live in low-altitude areas for a long time and rapidly ascend to altitudes above 3,000 meters may experience varying degrees of altitude sickness. The key to dealing with altitude sickness is to maintain a relaxed mood. Typically, after a few days, one will adapt to the high altitude and the symptoms will subside. People with hypertension, heart disease, blood disorders, vascular diseases, asthma, or other conditions that are not suitable for high altitudes should exercise caution when visiting these areas. Those in good physical condition should also ensure they are not suffering from colds or internal heat before entering the highlands, as this can exacerbate altitude sickness symptoms.
(1) Symptoms (including one or more of the following manifestations):
Headache, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, palpitations and shortness of breath, chest tightness and pain, insomnia, lethargy, loss of appetite, bloating, numbness in the hands and feet, cyanosis of the lips and fingers, edema in the eyelids or face, etc.
(2) Prevention:
If you are entering the highlands for the first time or have not been to high altitudes in the past two years, it is recommended to take medication such as Rhodiola rosea and Gaoyuan An for at least 15 days prior to ascending to high altitudes to help prevent altitude sickness until you have fully acclimatized to the high altitude.
(3) Treatment:
From a temporal perspective, mild cases typically adapt within 3 days of entering the highlands; moderate cases within 5-7 days; severe cases should seek immediate medical attention and evacuate to lower altitudes. Common medications for altitude sickness include analgesics, oxygen inhalers, American ginseng, and packaged or bottled oxygen. Please consult a doctor before purchasing and taking any medication.
