It is the only professional factory in Shexian County that inherits the historical and cultural heritage of Huizhou ink after the founding of New China. It also has a group of skilled masters and craftsmen.
Experience of Huizhou ink making
She Inkstone Carving Experience
She inkstone has been famous since the Tang Dynasty and has a history of more than 1,000 years, being highly favored by literati and scholars. The production process of She inkstone centers on carving. Each process, from stone material to blank making, designing, carving, polishing and glazing, tests the vision and skills of craftsmen. National intangible cultural heritage inheritors teach in person, and the masters hold carving knives to create magnificent shapes on the inkstone. Under the guidance of the masters, you can also take the knife as a pen and the stone as paper, appreciate the unique charm of the thousand-year-old She inkstone within a small space, and gain an unforgettable experience of cultural craftsmanship.

Itinerary: China Huizhou Culture Museum - Huizhou Cake and Pastry Museum: Huimo Crisp Making Experience (approx. 40 minutes) - Tunxi Old Street - Yangwen Brush Shop - Huizhou Brush Making Experience (approx. 1.5 hours)
After breakfast at the hotel, head to the China Huizhou Culture Museum. Every brick, tile, utensil, and object here quietly tells the stories of prosperity and elegance that once existed on this land. Stepping into the Huizhou Cake and Pastry Museum is like opening a long-dusted food history book, where each page is filled with the life stories and culinary memories of the Huizhou people. Start the Huimo Crisp Making Experience - not only will you get the delicious treats made by your own hands, but you’ll also hear ancient legends and stories. Wander along the thousand-year-old Tunxi Old Street; as you walk, you’ll encounter Huizhou-style ancient charm everywhere. It’s also a paradise for food lovers, gathering all kinds of Huizhou delicacies. At Yangwen Brush Shop, a single brush holds a century-old craftsmanship. The Huizhou Brush Making Experience allows your fingertips to "communicate" with wolf hair, feeling the elegance and persistence hidden in the brush tips.
China Huizhou Culture Museum
It is the second largest comprehensive museum in Anhui Province and the only museum in China that fully embodies the theme of Huizhou culture. Its basic exhibition is Huizhou People and Huizhou Culture, divided into six sections: Entering Huizhou, Huizhou Merchants Under Heaven, Ritual Huizhou, Huizhou Architecture, Huizhou Art, and Huizhou Science and Technology.
Huizhou Cake and Pastry Museum
It is a large-scale theme cultural exhibition and experience center integrating the display of Huizhou cake and pastry history, the demonstration of production techniques, customer participation in experiences, and product displays.
Huimo Crisp Making Experience (Anhui Ink Crisp)
Black sesame seeds are ground into powder in a stone mill and mixed with soft white sugar, creating a texture as smooth as Huizhou ink. Following the master, you’ll knead the powder into dough, press it into molds carved with landscape patterns, and when demolded, a shiny black crisp pastry — resembling a Huizhou ink ingot — will lie in your palm. Sweet but not cloying, it’s like turning the four treasures of the study (brush, ink, paper, inkstone) into a delicate taste on the tip of your tongue.
Tunxi Old Street
Entering Tunxi Old Street feels like stepping into a historical time capsule. This 853-meter-long corridor, structured in a fishbone pattern, weaves through over 300 Huizhou-style buildings—a labyrinth of interlocking alleys. Exquisite wood, brick, and stone carvings adorn gate towers. Century-old shops and intangible cultural heritage stores line the street, offering Huizhou delicacies: Huangshan sesame cakes, fermented tofu, Huizhou ink pastry, fermented mandarin fish, and Wenzheng bamboo shoots—an epicurean journey for your palate.
Yangwen Brush Shop
The story of Yangwen Brush Shop dates back to the late Qing Dynasty. Its ancestors adhered to the principle of "selecting hair as carefully as choosing jade," enabling Xuan brushes to flourish in Huizhou. Now passed down to the fourth generation, it still adheres to the traditional craftsmanship involving 72 procedures.
Huizhou Brush Making Experience
Holding a Huizhou brush, you’ll "dialogue" with a thousand years of craftsmanship. Join this brush-making ritual — as a brush gradually takes shape in your hands, the one you make will already carry your unique touch.
Itinerary: Huangshan Urban Area - Xuan Paper Culture Park: Creative Xuan Paper Experience (approx. 40 minutes) - Zhaji Ancient Village - Tangkou
After breakfast, depart for Jingxian County and head to Xuan Paper Culture Park. It is the soul habitat of Xuan paper culture and a place where the thousand-year-old craftsmanship is inherited. Participate in the Creative Xuan Paper Experience: experience paper fishing and paper drying with your own hands, and make a piece of creative flower-and-grass paper that belongs exclusively to you. Visit Zhaji Ancient Village: walk in on the bluestone slabs, and the patterns under your feet are embedded with stories of the old days. Check into the hotel in the evening.
Xuan Paper Culture Park
Stepping into the Xuan Paper Museum is like starting a journey through time. On the first floor, blue sandalwood bark and sandbar rice straw are displayed—the primal origins of Xuan paper. Detailed exhibitions of each production stage showcase the precision and rigor of Xuan papermaking. The second floor is a hall of art, where calligraphy and paintings on Xuan paper by historical masters hang. In the workshop, witness the birth of the "Paper Giant." You’ll understand this transcends papermaking—it’s inheriting a spirit.
Creative Xuan Paper Experience
Experience the entire papermaking process from pulp-mixing to finished paper. Essential hands-on steps:
Pulp Preparation: Blend fibers and additives
Paper-Scooping: Dip bamboo screen into pulp vat—fibers cling evenly
Heat-Drying: Press wet sheets onto heated walls until translucent
Creativity: Embed dried flowers/glitter into pulp or wet sheets before drying
Finally, Take home your unique paper for bookmarks, paintings, or archival keepsakes.
Zha ji Village
It is the largest existing ancient village from the Ming and Qing Dynasties in China. Don't miss the "Deyi Hall" in the village, which was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It is a three-story gatehouse, and judging from its structure and carvings, it has many characteristics and styles of the Yuan Dynasty. Built in memory of Yongde Gong, the seventh ancestor of the Zhongxing lineage, this four-pillar and three-story memorial archway-style gatehouse is the only Yuan Dynasty building in Zhaji and one of the very few Yuan Dynasty buildings in Anhui.
Itinerary: Tangkou - Huangshan (including Scenic Area Shuttle Bus, Yungu Cable Car One Way, Yuping Cable Car One Way) : Yupinglou Scenic Area, Tianhai Scenic Area, Bright Summit Peak, Baijiling - Tangkou
Huangshan
Its majestic landscapes and profound cultural heritage draw countless travelers. The "Four Wonders" - bizarre pines, grotesque rocks, sea of clouds, and hot springs - define its allure. Pristine mists churn through peaks: at times like raging ocean waves, at others like sheer veils, enveloping mountains in celestial grandeur. Every season unveils unique vistas awaiting discovery.
Yupinglou Scenic Area
A viewing deck cradled in the palms of cloud seas and legendary pines. Here, the Greeting Pine meets your gaze while the Farewell Pine stands sentinel nearby - Huangshan’s poetic etiquette of welcome and parting. Perched on Wenshu Terrace (1,680m), every window frames majesty. The wonder of Yupinglou is that it is never an isolated landscape; it serves as the backdrop for the Greeting Pine, a frame for Lianhua Peak, and a station where the sea of clouds flows through.
Tianhai Scenic Area
Huangshan’s "aerial garden" at 1,700+ meters, where cloud seas are perennial guests. Its magic lies in concealment and revelation - an open plain hides within encircling peaks (Lianhua, Tiandu, Liandan), offering both awe before towering summits and rare tranquility.
Bright Summit (Guāngmíng Dǐng)
one of Huangshan’s principal peaks, rises at the mountain’s core. At 1,860 meters, it ranks as Huangshan’s second-highest summit and forms the "Three Great Peaks" with Tiandu Peak and Lotus Peak. Its expansive flat summit commands panoramic views: marvel at the East Sea’s cloud wonders, the West Sea’s granite pillars, and Huangshan’s surreal pinnacles and grotesque rock formations.
White Goose Ridge, situated at the easternmost edge of Huangshan's Beihai Scenic Area, serves as a pivotal landmark in the mountain's rear section. It ranks among Huangshan's essential viewpoints and photography spots - particularly for observing the east sea of clouds. Here, the ridgeline arches like a goose's gracefully extended neck, where blue-gray granite cradles ancient pines. When winds sweep through, pine whispers mimic the flutter of white goose wings.
Itinerary: Tangkou - Hongcun (2-Hour Han Fu Experience): South Lake Academy - Yuezhao Lake - Chengzhi Hall - Wang Clan Ancestral Hall - Chun’an
After breakfast, depart for Hongcun Village - renowned as the "Village in a Chinese Painting". Stroll through ancient alleys in traditionalHan Fu, uncovering millennia-old stories whispered by its tiles and walls. Conclude the tour with a transfer to Chun’an for overnight stay.
Hongcun Village
Founded in the Northern Song Dynasty (900+ years old), its Hui-style architecture features whitewashed walls, black-tiled roofs, and iconic horse-head gables. Exquisite wood, brick, and stone carvings adorn interiors and exteriors with distinct cultural motifs. Among 137 surviving ancient residences stand Chengzhi Hall (dubbed "Folk Forbidden City"), Peide Hall, Sanli Hall (home of Hui merchants), Lesxu Hall, and the historic Nanhu Academy.
Nanhu Academy
Amidst South Lake's emerald waters, this white-and-black complex stands serene—where Hongcun's scholars once chanted classics. Cradled by lake reflections and mountain hues, it blends Hui architectural elegance with scholarly ambiance into Jiangnan's misty rain, forming the softest brushstroke in Hongcun's ink-wash painting.
Yuezhao Lake
Yuezhao, also called Yuetang by the locals, refers to the "cow's stomach" or "cow's small belly" in folk terms. It is located at the center of the ancient village. This semi-circular pond anchors the ancient village as its central landmark. Encircled by Hui-style architecture with whitewashed walls and black-tiled roofs, its mirror-like waters reflect timeless Huizhou charm. Historically, only Hongcun's wealthiest and most prestigious families resided around Yuezhao Lake.
Chengzhi Hall
Hongcun's "Folk Forbidden City." Once the mansion of salt merchant Wang Dinggui, every carved beam whispers merchant-legends and ingenuity. Each corner narrates Hui traders' sagas—their wealth amassed across China, yet hearts tethered to homeland. Duty to family and zest for life are etched into its very foundations, embodying "one mansion, half of Hui merchant history."
Wang Clan Ancestral Hall
A family's memory vault deep in Hongcun. Behind its weighty doors, the plaque "Filial Piety as Our Code" hangs in the main hall—honoring ancestors and admonishing descendants. Within: pines and cranes promise longevity; magpies on plum blossoms herald joy; entwined vines hint at lineage continuity. Every brick and tile speaks of "roots," offering an eternal harbor for blood ties and nostalgia.
Optional Activity ($10/person): Hongcun Han Fu Experience (2 hours)
Adorn traditionalHan Fu for a millennial rendezvous with Hongcun. As silk sleeves brush against bluestone paths, time folds upon itself. White walls and black tiles frame you; Moon Swamp's ripples mirror fluttering hems. You stand in the painting—and become part of its living ink wash.
Itinerary: Chun'an Qiandao Lake Pier (Board boat) - Qiandao Lake - Meifeng Peak (including round-trip cable car) - Yule Island - Longshan Island - Impression West Lake
After hotel breakfast, visit Qiandao Lake Scenic Area. 1,078 islands lie like scattered emeralds, cradled by crystalline waters. Board your cruise ship to behold islands dotting the expanse-a casually brushed ink-wash landscape painting by nature’s hand. After the tour, take a bus back to Hangzhou (160KM, approx. 2.5 hours). In the evening, enjoy the stunning performance of Impression West Lake.
Meifeng Scenic Area
Qiandao Lake's soul resides at Meifeng's heights. Dubbed "The Lake's Prime Viewing Platform", this peak offers unparalleled vistas of "a thousand islands vying in beauty". Emerald isles scatter like jade across the water—larger ones undulating like mountain ranges, smaller ones dainty as hairpin dots—while the lake itself gleams as a colossal jadeite, carved by islands into serpentine contours.
Meifeng Cable Car
Meifeng Island is the premier destination for panoramic views of Qiandao Lake. The cable car offers a 360-degree perspective of the lake and islands, allowing visitors to admire the scattered emerald isles, harmonious blend of water and mountains, and ever-changing vistas from varying heights as the cabin ascends. The cable car provides direct access to the mountaintop viewing platform, making it accessible for all visitors—especially seniors, children, and those with limited mobility—to effortlessly enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Qiandao Lake.
Yule Island
A culinary paradise featuring the "Lake's Number One Cauldron"—a giant iron wok simmering secret-recipe "Dongpo Fish". Numerous buffet restaurants serve diverse local delicacies. The island also hosts Qiandao Lake’s largest aquatic playground, Water World, and its sole Floating Stage for performances.
Longshan Island
Among Qiandao Lake’s myriad isles, Longshan guards its cultural essence. Ascend weathered stone steps from the dock to encounter ancient camphor trees; deep within their shade lies Hai Rui Temple. Inside, the statue of Hai Rui (Ming Dynasty’s "Unofficial Judge") gazes forth with piercing eyes—his incorruptible spirit transcending time.
Optional Activity ($55/person): Impression West Lake Show
If West Lake is Hangzhou’s soul, Impression West Lake is the soul's innermost poetry. Directed by Zhang Yimou, this masterpiece uses the night sky as its curtain and the lake as its stage, weaving together millennia of natural grandeur and cultural essence. The performance artfully integrates the love legend of Xu Xian and Lady White Snake.

Important Notes and Safety Risk Warnings
I. Important Notes for Tour Registration
1. Passport Validity: Before joining an overseas tour, ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your travel dates. If your travel is disrupted due to expired or invalid documents (e.g., visa denials, entry/exit rejections), all resulting losses will be borne solely by yourself.
2. Visa & Entry Requirements: Visa issuance and entry approval are subject to the administrative or sovereign authority of relevant institutions. You must provide truthful information, and the travel agency will assist with procedures. However, delays or denials due to your failure to submit required materials, incomplete documentation, or personal circumstances will be your responsibility.
3. Visa Documentation Updates: Visa requirements for Europe, America, Asia, etc., are frequently updated by embassies/consulates. The travel agency will notify you to supplement materials promptly. Delays or rejections caused by incomplete, late, or flawed submissions will result in losses borne by you.
4. Border Control Compliance: Even with a valid visa, entry/exit approval depends on immigration authorities. If denied entry/exit due to personal reasons (e.g., incomplete documentation), all losses are your responsibility.
II. Health & Activity Risk Warnings
1. Health Disclosure: Disclose your health status and medical history during registration. The agency may recommend suitable tours and advise medical checkups. If you insist on joining despite health risks, the agency assumes you have consulted a doctor and are fit to travel.
Seniors aged 65+ and minors require family/parental accompaniment.
The agency may require specific travel insurance and reserves the right to deny registration if accompaniment is lacking.
2. Emergency Assistance: In emergencies (e.g., safety threats, medical crises), the agency, local authorities, or embassies may assist, but costs (e.g., medical fees, evacuation) are your responsibility. Contact your tour leader, agency, or local institutions immediately.
3. Medical Emergencies: The agency will arrange urgent medical care but cannot guarantee access to specific hospitals. Treatment costs are your responsibility.

6. The travel agency particularly reminds tourists with the following conditions: those with a history of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, mental illnesses, asthma, cervical spondylosis, and other recurring diseases not mentioned above. IV. Important Notice Regarding Luggage for Cross-Border Travel Products
Given that cross-border travel involves multiple flight segments, and given the possibility of luggage loss during air transit-which can be difficult to recover once it occurs-we hereby provide the following important guidelines to protect your interests and ensure a smoother journey:
1.Carry-On Recommendations:
It is strongly advised that you keep valuable items (e.g., jewelry, electronics, important documents, etc.) and special medications in your carry-on luggage. Do not check them in.
If you require daily liquid medication for medical reasons, please obtain a medical certificate from a hospital in advance to facilitate security checks.
2.Luggage Loss Handling:
In the unfortunate event of lost luggage, our agency will actively assist you in reporting the loss and liaising with the carrier airline to locate your belongings. If your flight ticket was booked through us, we will also assist you in filing a claim with the airline. Please note, however, that according to relevant regulations and agreements, our role is limited to assistance, and we do not assume compensation liability for lost luggage.
3.Additional Insurance Advice:
If you have concerns about the coverage limit of the basic travel insurance, you may consider purchasing supplemental high-coverage travel insurance at your own discretion to protect against potential risks.
Room Sharing Regulations
I. Room Sharing Policy for Individual Travelers
When signing up individually, a single room supplement is generally required. If you wish to share a room with another guest on the same tour, please clearly indicate your request for room sharing during registration. We will make every effort to arrange accordingly.
Please note that as we operate group tours with independent travelers, we cannot guarantee in advance the sleeping habits of your potential roommate (e.g., snoring, teeth grinding, talking in sleep, sleeping with lights on, drinking alcohol in the room, etc.). If any of these issues may affect your rest and consequently your overall travel experience, we strongly recommend that individual travelers who are sensitive to such conditions or have special sleep habits themselves pay the single room supplement for a private room.
If you agree to room sharing but later require a single room during the trip, you must negotiate directly with the hotel overseas and pay the full cost of the room in cash or by card. Please note that this requires payment for the entire room, not just half of the room rate. Thank you for your understanding.
II. Single Room Supplement Rules
For guests requesting room sharing during registration, we will strictly follow the order of submission of documents or payment of deposits - applying a“first-come,
first-served”principle to match roommates and ensure fairness. If, after the registration
deadline, a “natural single room” situation occurs (i.e., no same-gender roommate is available) not due to your own will, the following policy applies:
1. Assume Single Room Supplement: The last guest in the room-sharing queue (based on document submission or deposit payment time) will be required to pay the single room supplement.
2. Tour Date or Itinerary Adjustments
If you choose to postpone your trip to the next available tour date, the price will remain the same as originally booked. Additionally, you will enjoy the benefit of “priority roommate matching” for the new tour-we will prioritize matching you with a suitable roommate.
Alternatively, if you prefer to switch to another suitable itinerary, you will also be eligible for “priority roommate matching”, and we will assist you in arranging a shared accommodation partner.
