Due to the time difference, it is recommended to confirm the local time and depart 1day in advance, the exact time is subject to the arrival time. You will be spending the night on the plane, which may be cold, so it is recommended that you bring warm clothing. We wish you a good night's rest.

Upon arrival in Chengdu, your guide will be waiting at the airport to greet you, after which you will check into your hotel for rest.

If time permits, we recommend free exploration: visit the Kuanzhai Alleys or Jinli Street, or Taikoo Li.

Kuanzhai Alleys

In the interplay of "wide" and "narrow," lies Chengdu's slow-paced life. In Wide Alley, steam rises from bowls of tea in traditional teahouses, where longtime patrons lounge in bamboo chairs, swaying palm-leaf fans to the rhythm of Sichuan Opera face-changing and percussion drifting from the lane's end. Narrow Alley is scented with latte from cozy cafes, where artistic shop windows reflect against blue-brick and grey-tile walls - a fascinating collision of old and new. From hotpot restaurants at the alley's entrance wafts the aroma of spicy beef tallow, bubbling with Chengdu's signature heat and inclusivity. Here, slow living is the only rhythm, a poetic embodiment of how locals savor life.

Jinli Street

Step into a millennium of Chengdu's history. As red lanterns gradually light up at dusk, the echoes of footsteps on bluestone paths merge with whispers from the Three Kingdoms era. Wandering through the streets, the sweet scent of "tang you guo" (sugar-oil pastries) catches your attention, while sugar painters craft vivid dragons and phoenixes nearby. The age-old Zhuge Well hides secrets of the Three Kingdoms, and pavilions with upturned eaves shimmer on the water's surface. In cultural shops, Shu embroidery bookmarks capture the gentle ripples of the Jinjiang River in every delicate stitch.

Taikoo Li
Where modernity and history coexist. Glass curtain walls reflect the blue skies and white clouds, while blue-brick and grey-tile structures preserve the texture of old Chengdu. Strolling through its crisscrossing lanes, you might capture the perfect light outside a trendy café one moment, and the next, encounter the red walls and bamboo shadows of the centuries-old Daci Temple. Luxury boutiques face traditional tea houses across the street, where streetwear-clad youth pass by elders in cloth shoes. Handmade accessories sparkle at open-air markets, while the melodies of street musicians blend with the sweet aroma from milk tea shops - perfectly merging everyday charm with urban sophistication.

Itinerary: Chengdu - Kangding - Red Sea Lake (approx. 10+ minutes visit) - (Drive-by view) Kangding Airport Road - Gedilam·Sky City (approx. 40 min ascent, approx. 2 hours visit) - Xinduqiao

Depart after hotel breakfast. Travel via the Yaan-Kangding Expressway from Ya'an to Tianquan, then to Luding in Ganzi, heading west all the way. Cross the majestic Erlang Mountain and arrive in Kangding after passing through the Dadu River Valley, then have a meal. After the meal, take the vehicle to Red Sea Lake, and have a drive-by view of the popular Kangding Airport Road, where every shot becomes a beautiful photo. Afterwards, take the vehicle to Gedilam·Sky City. Here, there are grasslands, snow-capped mountains,  lighthouse, swings, log cabins, a carousel, and more, all combining to form a unique landscape. Later, return to Xinduqiao to check in at the hotel.

Red Sea Lake
Red Sea Lake, also known as Jiaxia La, is located at an altitude of 4100 meters behind the Kangding Airport on Zheduo Mountain, on the tourist loop from Mugecuo to Tagong. Facing the snow peak of Bijiashan Mountain, on clear afternoons, the blue water and sky mirror the snowy peaks, creating a fairy-tale like scene. At sunset, the snow peaks are tinged with gold, creating a spectacular view. This is an ideal place for photographing high mountain lakes.

Kangding Airport Road
This is an excellent place to view Gongga Snow Mountain and Yala Snow Mountain, and a must-pass famous road for photography enthusiasts coming to Ganzi. Looking from the airport road, the majestic form of Gongga Snow Mountain strikes the viewer with an irresistible majesty, while Yala Snow Mountain forms a perfect symmetrical picture with it; the two sacred mountains together paint a magnificent natural picture. The most anticipated moment is perhaps encountering a gliding plane on the airport road. The plane skims past the peaks of Gongga, framed with the snow mountain, trailing a long line across the sky...

Gedilam·Sky City
Meaning "goddess-blessed mountain peak" in Tibetan, this place is 4200 meters above sea level, far from the bustle and close to a fairy tale. Log cabins stand quietly on the meadow, with views of the snow-capped mountain peaks from the windows. Yala Snow Mountain and Gongga Snow Mountain stand guard on the horizon like silver giants. The lighthouse framed with the snow mountains becomes a lonely, romantic landmark. Who says carousels only belong in amusement parks? Sit on a colorful wooden horse with the backdrop of continuous snow peaks and rolling clouds, press the shutter, and capture an adult's fairy tale dream.

(Tips)Friendly Reminders:

1. If Highway 434 is congested or closed, the route will go via Zheduo Mountain instead, canceling the Red Sea Lake and Airport Road visits and adding a photo stop at the Zheduo Mountain Pass.

2. Due to the limited road conditions at Gedilam, a transfer vehicle (or the original driver's vehicle) needs to be arranged, the vehicle and cleaning fees are included.

3.If Gedilam is inaccessible due to demolition, traffic congestion, weather, etc., it will be replaced with Yuzi Xi, the transfer vehicle (or original driver's vehicle) fee is included. After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Xinduqiao and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Western Sichuan Plateau along the way, passing through Tagong Grassland with a distant view of Yala Snow Mountain. Continue to the famous The 18 Bends of Heaven Road, experiencing the winding mountain highway. Stop at the viewing platform of the Eighteen Zigzags to photograph the spectacular panoramic view of the road. Then proceed to Litang. Litang Ancient Town is one of the important birthplaces of Tibetan Buddhist culture and the hometown of the Sixth Dalai Lama, Tsangyang Gyatso. Here, we can feel the solemnity and mystery of Tibetan Buddhism and trace the footsteps of the Living Buddha. After lunch, admire the beautiful views of the plateau meadows, snow-capped mountains, and lakes along the way. Arrive at the foot of the Genie Holy Mountain for a distant view of the Genie Three Holy Mountains, experiencing their grandeur and sanctity. Afterwards, head to the Wild Hot Spring near Genie Holy Mountain to experience the unique charm of a plateau hot spring. The surroundings are picturesque, and while soaking your feet, you can enjoy the views of snow-capped mountains and grasslands. In the evening, proceed to Ranrikar Village or a homestay in Genie Town to conclude the day's journey.

The 18 Bends of Heaven Road 
Located on Jianziwan Mountain, meaning "Mountain Pass of the Lamb," the pass elevation is approximately 4,659 meters, making it the highest pass on National Highway 318 traversing the Kham region. A viewing platform has been built at the pass for tourists to rest and enjoy the scenery. Overlooking the Eighteen Zigzags reveals a震撼ing curved beauty; the winding mountain road meanders through the mountains like a giant dragon, creating a sense of having countless peaks and valleys within sight.

Litang Ancient Town
At an altitude of 4,014 meters, it is known as the "World's Highest County Town" and a essential stop on National Highway 318. It is also the "land beloved by cranes" from the poems of Tsangyang Gyatso. The ancient town is rich in historical and cultural atmosphere, showcasing Tibetan culture everywhere. The thousand-household Tibetan settlement group within the town is particularly spectacular. Strolling slowly through the town, you can not only experience unique Tibetan culture and visit popular attractions but also engage with rich intangible cultural heritage.

Ironsmith Mountain
Located in Litang County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, with an average elevation of 4,770 meters, it is the gateway to the Genie Holy Mountain from the G318 highway. Its Tibetan name, "Garang Bensong," means "Three Blacksmith Brothers," consisting of three independent yet closely situated peaks standing side by side. It lies across the heart of the Haizi Mountain area within the Shaluli Mountains and is a major component of the Haizi Mountain Ancient Ice Cap, the world's largest ancient glacial relic. The mountain appears as grey-black pyramidal forms, with the three peaks arranged in a striking, imposing manner. Loose glacial erratics and granite rock masses dotting the slopes are like stars fallen between the mountains, holding hidden brilliance, bearing witness to history and narrating hundreds of millions of years of geological change.

Genie Three Holy Mountains
Genie Main Peak, at 6,204 meters, is the monarch of the Hengduan Mountains. Its ridge is as sharp as a blade, perpetually snow-covered, while its foothills are a secret realm of primal forests, meadows, and intertwined streams. In Tibetan legend, Genie is the "Sword of King Gesar," the dwelling place of deities. Local mountain people still preserve the ancient tradition of the kora (circumambulation), believing that circling the holy mountain once can cleanse the sins of a lifetime. Xiaozha Holy Mountain, when its reflection falls on the lake surface, turns the entire mountain into a mirror of the sky. Kemailong Holy Mountain, at 5,780 meters, located south of Genie Mountain, means "Mirror of Wisdom" in Tibetan, symbolizing boundless wisdom, forming a spectacular scene of three peaks standing in a tripod formation. The Genie Three Holy Mountains hold an extremely high status in Tibetan Buddhism, being one of the eight principal sacred sites of Chakrasamvara and the 13th goddess peak among the 24 holy mountains of Tibetan Buddhism. Many eminent monks regard this place as a sacred land for pure practice.

Wild Hot Spring
Tucked away in a mountain hollow is a pool of wild hot spring. When the spring water emerges from rock crevices, it still carries the earth's warmth, softening the surrounding stones. Stepping barefoot into the pool, the water temperature perfectly reaches past the knees. The fine sand at the bottom gently tickles the feet with the ripples, like the swish of fish tails. It turns out the most comfortable embrace is given by the earth—earthy-scented yet scalding just right.

The Eye of Genie
During the water-abundant summer, it is the best time to view the Eye of Genie. The Eye is a natural circular small lake. From a God's-eye view, set against the surrounding yellow earth and meadows, the small lake strikingly resembles a "large eye leading to heaven," thus astonishingly called "a tear trickling on the earth's surface." Simultaneously, this is also an excellent vantage point for viewing the seven peaks and eight valleys of the Genie scenic area.

Ranrikar Village
A Tibetan village surrounded by snow-capped mountains. At dusk, as cattle and sheep return to their pens, cooking smoke dances together with prayer flags—this is the most authentic face of Western Sichuan. Here, one involuntarily sheds the hustle and bustle of the city, wholeheartedly immersing in this grassland, feeling the strong Kham customs.

Outside the temple lies Hupi Dam, an open area surrounded by towering mountains, with meadows spreading out like a green carpet. Then continue towards Zeba Village. At Zeba Village, the Genie Main Peak stands majestic and spectacular; even in summer, the massive glaciers are clearly visible. During sunrise and sunset, the phenomenon of the "sunlight bathing the golden mountain" is intoxicating, as golden-yellow sunlight on the snow-capped peaks,like draping them in a golden veil, beautifully magnificent. Afterwards, pass through Lanfangzi Flower Sea, the 4900-meter pass, enjoy a distant view of the Twin Peaks, and Gemu Village, admiring Tibetan villages along the way. Take a drive-by view of the Reti River Valley, grasslands, and snow-capped mountains, experiencing the ultimate scenery of Western Sichuan. Then proceed to check in at the hotel in Batang.

New Lenggu Monastery
At the foot of the Genie Holy Mountain, encounter the sanctity and serenity of Xinlenggu Temple. Backed by the perpetually snow-capped Genie Main Peak, the temple blends with the snowy mountains, sacred and solemn. The temple has a long history, and its architectural style is distinctly characteristic of Tibetan Buddhism. Between the carved beams and painted rafters, every detail is imbued with the craftsmen's dedication and profound religious cultural significance.

Hupi Dam
Known in Tibetan as "Dabotong," it sits at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters. The winding streams resemble the patterns on a tiger's back, and the yellowish-brown meadows look like a tiger's skin, hence the name Hupi Dam. The terrain here is flat and wide, making it an ideal campsite for hiking. In the early morning, ethereal white mist surrounds the campsite, and in the distance, one can see the faint blue smoke from sang offerings at Xinlenggu Temple, creating a fairy-tale like atmosphere.

Zeba Village
This is a essential stop on the Genie South Line and a dreamy paradise for countless travelers. In the distance, the Genie Holy Mountain remains snow-capped year-round, while vast grasslands lie at your feet. As a Tibetan settlement, it preserves traditional Tibetan architectural styles intact. Stone-and-wood Tibetan houses are scattered orderly across the grassland, with thick walls and exquisite doors and windows carved with fine Tibetan patterns, full of rich ethnic charm.

Lanfangzi Flower Sea
Weathered stone walls are full with vines of Gesang flowers, and prayer flags at the edge of the sea of flowers face the distant snow peaks. The flowers here are not as bustling as those elsewhere; they carry the crisp freshness unique to the grasslands. Yellow ones resemble melted sunlight, purple ones like crushed starry skies, spreading across the gentle slopes towards the distant glaciers, like dyeing the chill of the snow mountains into a soft appearance.

Hangda Camp
This is a dreamland woven together by snow-capped mountains, grasslands, and starry skies. When the first light of dawn on the glaciers on the southern slope of Genie, the camp awakens from its slumber. The spectacular scene of the "sunlight bathing the golden mountain" unfolds before your eyes, as the continuous snow-capped mountains are tinged with golden-red, sacred and majestic. In summer, the camp is embraced by a sea of flowers, with colorful wild flowers blooming profusely. When the breeze passes, waves of flowers ripple layer by layer. The distant snow-capped mountains and the nearby sea of flowers complement each other beautifully. As night falls, the brilliant starry sky replaces the azure of the day. The Milky Way stretches across the sky like a bright ribbon, with countless stars twinkling, making one feel as if they could reach out and touch the vastness of the universe.

Reti River Valley
The Reti River Valley is a vast grassland pasture, featuring pristine snow-capped mountains, golden grasslands, simple and enthusiastic herdsmen, and freely roaming cattle and sheep. In summer, the valley is carpeted with flowers, dotted with tents, and filled with herds of cattle and horses - a picture of leisurely, unhurried, and unconstrained life. This is the best observation point for the western slope of Genie.

Gemu Village
Gemu Village is one of the few purely pastoral villages, possessing Alpine-style peaks and meadows. Here, there are no concrete jungles, far from the city's hustle and bustle; it is purely blue skies, clear waters, green grass, and wildflowers... In recent years, it has gained significant attention for its "stunning tent campsite" scenery.

Twin Peaks
Standing beside the last pass of the Genie South Line, Chongben Haluo and Chongben Haga are two brother-like peaks guarding travelers from afar.

Batang
A sacred and auspicious land that nurtures diverse ethnic cultures. When the Xianzi dance begins and Tibetan opera starts, characteristic delicacies fragrance the air. With numerous temples and mysterious religious culture, it is like a bright pearl on the Khamba land.

Pass by Haizi Mountain and visit the popular Sisters' Lakes. Haizi Mountain has an average elevation of 4,500 meters, with its highest peak, Guoyin Rize, reaching 5,020 meters. It boasts 1,145 lakes of various sizes, a density and scale unique in China, hence the name Haizi Mountain. From Sisters' Lakes, proceed to Maoya Grassland, one of the most beautiful grasslands in Western Sichuan. In summer, it's covered with wild flowers and dotted with herds of cattle and sheep. Make a brief stop on the grassland to photograph the scenery and experience the vastness and freedom of the plateau. Afterwards, take the vehicle to check in at the hotel in Xinduqiao.

Cuopu Valley
Located in the heart of the Hengduan Mountains, within the Cuola District north of Batang County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, on the border between Litang and Batang counties. The scenery here primarily consists of snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, rivers, canyons, waterfalls, hot springs, grasslands, wildlife, and cultural landscapes like monasteries. Cuopu Lake within the valley is known as the "Number One Holy Lake of Kham."

Haizi Mountain
Situated in the north of Daocheng, covering a total area of 3,287 square kilometers, it is dotted with rugged rocks and numerous large and small lakes. On the mountain, which averages 4,500 meters in altitude, 1,145 lakes sparkle like over a thousand diamonds scattered by God's careless hand, their density and scale being the greatest in China. As Tibetans call high mountain lakes 'Haizi', it is named Haizi Mountain.

Sisters' Lakes
On the Haizi Mountain plateau, there are two serene, deep blue-green alpine lakes. One is called "Zhimayongcuo," legend says it was reserved for the bathing of Zhima, a consort of King Gesar, the other is called "Kangzhulacuo," said to be formed from the tears of a stone maiden of the sacred mountain. The Tibetan word for lake is "Cuo," meaning "Haizi". These two connected lakes are thus named Sisters' Lakes, also known as Glasses Lakes or Mandarin Duck Lakes. The entire plateau lake area floats in the mist, like a mirrored world suspended in the clouds, making one feel as if they are in a fairyland.

Maoya Grassland
Voted by Chinese National Geography as one of "China's Six Most Beautiful Grasslands," the vast Maoya Grassland, nestled among surrounding mountains, is lush and flat like a bronze mirror. Under the sunny summer sky, green grass stretches to the horizon, dotted with colorful wild flowers, tents, and yurts. Herds of cattle and sheep leisurely wander and graze on the verdant grass. In the early morning, the smoke from herdsmen's chimneys rises straight up, mingling with the light mist over the grassland, creating a dreamlike illusion.

Litang, the City of the Sky
This shining pearl set in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province stands proudly in the clouds at an altitude of 4,014.187 meters, renowned as the "City of the Sky". The county's average elevation is 4,300 meters, with its highest point, Genie Mountain, piercing the sky (6,204 meters), and its lowest point, the Yalong River Valley, winding deeply (2,680 meters). This vertical topography sketches the unique texture of the Earth's Third Pole.

(Tips) Friendly Reminders:

1. There are relatively few sightseeing buses in the Cuopu Valley scenic area, and waiting for buses on-site is sometimes unavoidable. Please be patient.

2. Under normal traffic conditions without delays, arrival in Xinduqiao is around 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM. During holidays or special circumstances like traffic control, it might be later. Please be advised!

Itinerary: Xinduqiao - Gunong Village (approx. 0.5-1 hour visit) - Tibetan-style Travel Photography (approx. 0.5-1 hour shooting) - Muya Grand Monastery (approx. 0.5-1 hour visit) - Chengdu

After breakfast, proceed to Gunong Village. Stroll along the small river, gaze out towards the sacred mountain, and experience a sense of tranquility and harmony far from the hustle and bustle. Afterwards, head to Muya Grand Monastery. The air is filled with the scent of butter lamps, and the soul is purified by the chanting of sutras. Within the monastery grounds, you may unexpectedly encounter small animals like deer, horses, and monkeys. Turning the prayer wheels, each rotation is a blessing for life and gratitude for nature. Then begin the return journey to Chengdu and check in at the hotel.

Gunong Village
Step into Gunong Village, and a stunning, naturally formed picture unfolds before your eyes. Vast meadows spread out like a green carpet into the distance, dotted with colorful wildflowers. As the breeze passes, ripples seem to flow through the sea of flowers. A clear stream babbles along, majestic snow-capped mountains stand silently in the distance, and herds of cattle and sheep roam leisurely. Just quietly contemplating this pastoral scenery is enough to captivate the heart and mind.

Muya Grand Monastery
Muya Grand Monastery is a Tibetan Nyingma sect temple complex consisting of a nuns' monastery, a monks' monastery, a Buddhist college, and a Tibetan medical hospital. It is often called "Little Serdar" and also known as "Tashi Monastery," which in Tibetan carries the meaning of praying for world peace. Its layout is open, with snow-capped mountains, grasslands, Tibetan buildings, and white stupa groups appearing together in one frame, alongside red-robed monks passing hurriedly by, resembling a beautiful painting.
